Mariano Irace consults on antitrust and competition matters. Using his expertise in industrial organization, Dr. Irace applies economic theory and statistical tools to analyze market definition, market power, liability, and damages issues, with a focus on the healthcare and technology industries. He supports clients and experts through all phases of litigation, including discovery, empirical and theoretical economic analysis, case strategy, deposition, and trial.

Dr. Irace has consulted on matters related to monopolization, monopoly maintenance, exclusive dealing, tying, bundling, harm from most favored nation (MFN) clauses, and vertical restraints. He has also consulted on merger reviews, both on behalf of merging parties and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

Dr. Irace’s representative experience includes:

  • Analyzing bundling, tying, serial acquisitions, and exclusionary practices in the healthcare industry, including in matters such as Sidibe et al. v. Sutter Health
  • Assessing allegations of monopolization, monopoly maintenance, and exclusionary behavior in the healthcare, online search, pharmacy, and technology industries
