Eric Bickford is the head of Cornerstone Research’s New York office and cohead of the firm’s private equity and venture capital practice. Mr. Bickford conducts financial and economic analysis in a range of commercial litigation matters. He has participated in the preparation of expert reports and deposition testimony and has been involved in all phases of litigation, including mediation and trial. Securities and financial institutions
- Assessing claims of market efficiency and loss causation, arguments related to class certification, and potential damages arising from alleged fraud involving equities issued by U.S. and foreign firms
- Analyzing the valuation of corporate debt, mortgage-backed securities, and structured debt products
- Analyzing institutional factors relating to trading activity in equity and debt markets and investment practices of retail investors, mutual funds, and other institutional investors
Labor and employment and antitrust and competition
- Assessing questions relating to class certification and liability, and conducting statistical analysis of large datasets to assess compensation and promotion decisions
- Assessing determinants of executive compensation and antitrust claims relating to employment issues
