New chief operating officer brings 30 years of leadership experience in professional services firm management.
Washington—Cornerstone Research, a leading provider of economic and financial consulting and expert testimony, announced today that Gregory L. Negus has joined the firm in its Washington, DC, office as chief operating officer.
Mr. Negus comes to Cornerstone Research with a wealth of professional services management experience, particularly in the legal sector. Previously, he was chief operating officer at Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart P.C. where he managed all aspects of its operations. In that role, he also served on the firm’s board of directors, executive committee, and management committee. Before then, he was chief financial officer at McGuireWoods LLP.

At Cornerstone Research, Mr. Negus will be responsible for leading the firm’s corporate and administrative functions, including finance, information technology, human resources, talent, and marketing. Mr. Negus succeeds Jonathan Patrick, who is retiring in June 2020 after 14 years with the firm as chief administrative officer, chief operating officer, and executive vice president.
Mr. Negus holds an M.B.A. from San Francisco State University and a B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University.
