Leading competition expert expands the firm’s European capabilities.
London—Cornerstone Research, a leading provider of economic and financial consulting and expert testimony, has today announced that Gregor Langus has joined the firm’s antitrust and competition team as a vice president*.
Dr Langus is a prominent European competition economist who supports clients and provides expert testimony in antitrust investigations, merger reviews, competition damages matters, and arbitration proceedings across an array of industries.
Dr Langus served as a member of the Chief Economist’s Team (CET) in DG Competition at the European Commission. He has consulted on competition policy matters in multiple jurisdictions, including the European Union (EU), United States, and before competition authorities and courts of several EU member states and the UK. He has extensive consultancy experience and was a post-doctoral researcher and a lecturer in microeconomics at the Tilburg University School of Economics.

Dr Langus has worked on numerous high-profile mergers and antitrust investigations in such industries as aerospace, agrochemicals, energy, media, technology, and transportation. He has provided testimony and submitted economic reports in courts, in arbitration proceedings and before competition authorities internationally.
A prolific author, Dr Langus has published competition policy studies on subjects that include copyright, licensing, merger control, and telecommunications. His academic articles have appeared in peer-reviewed journals, notably the International Journal of Industrial Organization, Economics Letters, the Journal of Competition Law and Economics-and Concurrences. He speaks widely on competition policy topics.
Before joining Cornerstone Research, Dr Langus founded CompetitionSphere, a policy group based in Brussels. Previously, he served in senior roles at several international consulting firms.
