Cornerstone Research, a leading provider of economic and financial consulting and expert testimony, has announced the promotions of three senior consultants to senior vice president. They include antitrust and competition coheads Kostis Hatzitaskos and Bryan Ricchetti, and Chicago office head John Simon.

Kostis Hatzitaskos coheads Cornerstone Research’s antitrust and competition practice and serves on the firm’s executive committee. Dr. Hatzitaskos focuses on merger investigations and antitrust litigation matters involving allegations of collusion, vertical restraints, and other allegedly anticompetitive behavior. Who’s Who Legal has recognized him as a Global Leader among competition economists and, for five consecutive years, also named him a Future Leader in the competition field. Dr. Hatzitaskos has consulted on multiple cases recognized by Global Competition Review with its Matter of the Year awards.
Bryan Ricchetti coheads Cornerstone Research’s antitrust and competition practice and serves on the firm’s board of directors. Dr. Ricchetti specializes in antitrust and labor matters. He focuses on economic and statistical issues when assessing antitrust impact, market definition, market power, class certification, hiring and compensation decisions, and alleged discrimination. As an expert witness, Dr. Ricchetti has been retained to analyze questions of antitrust impact and damages and the procompetitive effects of a horizontal agreement.
John Simon heads Cornerstone Research’s Chicago office. Mr. Simon focuses on litigation involving the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), investment management, and financial institutions. Mr. Simon’s ERISA case experience covers more than one hundred matters, including cases related to defined benefit, defined contribution, and nonqualified plans. In investment management matters, he addresses issues involving mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), separate accounts, and collective trusts, hedge funds, and private equity funds.
