The FTC dismissed its suit after the parties abandoned this proposed merger.
Retained by the Federal Trade Commission
The Federal Trade Commission sued to enjoin the merger of the two largest daily fantasy sports sites, DraftKings and FanDuel, alleging that the combined firm would control more than 90 percent of the U.S. market for paid daily fantasy sports contests. The FTC retained Greg Eastman of Cornerstone Research to analyze the proposed merger.
In July 2017, the parties abandoned the transaction, and the FTC dismissed its complaint.
