Dr. Collina’s work spans venues that include U.S. federal and state courts, the Delaware Court of Chancery, and regulatory proceedings by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Accounting and antitrust litigation

Dr. Collina consults on accounting issues arising in antitrust litigation. In multiple high-profile matters, he has examined claims of monopoly power and abnormal profits. In these contexts, Dr. Collina has analyzed a variety of managerial and financial accounting issues, including those related to profitability measurement, cost allocation, and revenue recognition.

Securities litigation

Dr. Collina assesses market efficiency, loss causation, and damages issues in securities matters, including at the class certification and mediation phases. His experience includes matters involving issues related to the clinical development and valuation of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, restatements of financial statements, SEC investigations and enforcement, and mergers and acquisitions (M&As).
