Dan Robinson leads teams and manages research in matters arising from shareholder lawsuits, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), breaches of contract, and regulatory investigations. Mr. Robinson addresses liability, loss causation, damages, valuation, and corporate governance issues in a variety of venues, including U.S. federal and state courts, the Delaware Court of Chancery, and arbitration associations. His expertise spans various industries, notably mutual funds, real estate, and venture capital (VC). Mr. Robinson supports attorneys and academic and industry experts in all phases of the litigation process.

Mr. Robinson’s representative experience includes:

  • In multiple matters, analyzing structure, strategy, and financing of entrepreneurial firms
  • In multiple matters, measuring economic damages and rebutting opposing damages estimates
  • Analyzing order execution quality and presenting to regulators in a regulatory investigation of a broker-dealer
  • Assessing fund fees, performance, and corporate governance issues in litigation involving a closed-end fund complex
  • Developing econometric analyses of loan performance and assessing the materiality of alleged defects in residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) litigation
